endangered species

What is an endangered species? A endangered species is a species whose numbers are so small that the species is at risk of extinction. So when this happens those animals or species go on the endangered list. And one of those is the spotted Mexican owl. Unlike most owls, Mexican spotted owls have dark eyes. They are an ashy-chestnut brown color with white and brown spots on their abdomen, back and head. Their brown tails are marked with thin white bands. Young owls less than 5 months old have a downy appearance. Females are larger than males. So now that I gave you a description lets get to the point.                These owl's need help because when a species is goes extinct or is "Removed" from an ecosystem it will have an huge effect on the ecosystem.
